中國海洋科學卓越教育伙伴計劃（英文簡稱 COSEE China）由廈門大學、中國海洋大學、北京大學、南京大學、同濟大學、浙江大學、中國地質大學等七所高校發起，2010年8月建立。計劃旨在通過科學家和教育工作者之間的密切合作，提高公眾的海洋環境保護意識，培養下一代海洋學家。
實驗室主要依托該計劃開展海洋科學普及與公眾教育，每年舉辦“海洋科學開放日”，并通過與大中小學、企事業單位合作，開展不同層面的活動，推廣海洋科學與文化，推動海洋科學研究與教育的發展。
Established in 2010,Centers for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence of China(COSEE China) is a platform which seeks to bridge the gap between researchers, educators, and the public. By forging links between these groups, it aims to not only enhance public awareness about the ocean but to cultivate the next generation of ocean scientists and a scientifically literate citizenry.
